Freeman French Freeman's work on The Waterbury State Office Complex achieved the US Green Building Council's highest rating with LEED Platinum. In 2011, Tropical Storm Irene left the Waterbury State Office Complex in ruin. Today, it is recognized as one of the State of Vermont's greatest assets with LEED Platinum certification. The platinum rating applies to over 200,000 square feet of new and renovated space, and it is one of just a small handful of commercial projects to receive LEED Platinum in Vermont.
