Public-Private Partnerships are not just for toll roads and bridges – they can be an effective delivery method for any number of project types in the public realm whether infrastructure or buildings. Simply stated, a Public-Private Partnership (P3) exists when a public entity retains a private entity to finance, design, and build a project that will deliver a benefit to the public. Sometimes, the private entity will be required to operate and maintain the completed project over an extended period of time. P3 project delivery involves a more complex risk analysis in comparison to other design and construction methodologies.
